The best time to apply Johairba’s Facial Serum is straight after cleansing your skin in the evening and just before going to sleep.

 

Does it leave the face oily?

No. The essential oils used in the serum are absorbed by the skin quickly, and have a moisturising and cleansing effect. After 5 minutes the skin feels smooth and dry.

 

Will my skin feel itchy when using the Johairba treatment?

Do I need a prescription from a doctor before I use the Johairba treatment?

No, there is no need to consult a doctor prior to use, our product are graded as cosmetics, but we advise you to ask your doctor if you have any allergies to essential oils and while you are pregnant. 

 

Can I go swimming or bathing after using the Johairba treatment  Oil?

You should wait overnight, about 8 hours before you go swimming or bathing. 

 

Is there an age restriction for using the Johairba treatment?

Generally there is no age restriction for the treatment although results differ depending on a patient’s history, degree of hair loss and sensitivity to the product. Johairba products should not be used on children less than 14 years of age, except under the advice and supervision of a healthcare specialist.

 

 Is the Johairba treatment useful for mid-frontal baldness (aka receding hair lines)?

According to the companys early tests, the serum can achieve good results for the top hair regrowth as well as the mid-frontal hair.

 

When should I wash my hair?

It is better to apply the serum in the evening before going to sleep, leave it all night and wash your hair the next morning.

 

Can I use hair styling products?

We do not recommend you to use hair styling products such as hair gels and hair sprays as they may be a cause of the hair loss. Other hair styling products such as dyes, colors and hair straighteners (both mechanical and pharmiceutical) cause damage to the hair and stress to the point of the hair’s growth – the roots. They can slow down or in some drastic cases prevent our treatment from working, so therefore we recommend if you are experiencing hair loss and wish to start our treatment, you prevent using such products until at least finishing the treatment. As always, this is up to your discretion. 

 

Do I need to cut my hair short to help the serum reach the affected areas?

You do not need to cut your hair short, simply move hair to the side and massage in the oil directly in affected area.

 

What is the shelf life of Johairba products?

As legally required, the shelf life of a finished product is 36 months.

 

What products should I use?

Our Johairba hair loss treatment contains a serum and shampoo used in conjunction for a minimum of six months for a recent hair loss and 12 months for hair loss that has persisted for more than 6 months.

 

What type of product safety testing do you do?

We are fully against testing on animals. Our safety studies are conducted in a professional and conscientious manner, are based on relevant criteria established by law. We test every substance and combination of different substances using special methods to ensure that they present no health hazard and are compatible with the skin.

 

Once opened, how long will my product last?

Can the Johairba treatment cure androgenetic baldness?

Every day, many people experiencing hair loss are turning to aromatherapy to consider a solution. The success of our treatment or other forms of essential oils on the market are of interest, and more and more people are finding their happiness and come to us to help strengthen and preserve their existing hair, but at present it there is no definitive medical treatment of alopecia. Minoxidil and Finasteride are two most commonly prescribed pharmeceuticals  to treat hair loss. Minoxidil stops or slows the hair loss, and then Finasteride promotes growth. Beware, this is a drug that is only administered by prescription, and is not recommended for pregnant women and children. Most of the pharmaceutical treatments available  are not recommended in cases of diabetes, history of phlebitis or severe depression and these treatments are not to be taken to lightly.

Finasteride contains a powerful anti-androgen molecule: it will act on the metabolism of testosterone by reducing the levels of dihydrotestosterone in the hair follicle.

Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a male sex hormone, its deficiency can disrupt sex (decreased libido, impotence).

A recent study published in the United States says that the side effects of Finasteride may be irreversible. So hair growth, yes, but at a price. Minoxidil does less damage than Finasteride when taken in normal doses, few side effects are to be expected (rash, allergies, weight gain, dental problems…) but they could lead to serious problems if you do not seek medical care. 

The only definitive treatment is surgery (hair transplant implants).

Can i return my product and ask for a refund?

If you are not happy with something you have purchased, we will take it back as long as it is within 30 days of when you received the product and it is not a special ordered item.
If the product has been opened the the packaging damaged, we’ll still refund your purchase however this will incur a 15% re-stocking fee. If it is brand new and unopened, we will refund you in full. The only times we don’t accept a return is if it is used or damaged or if the product is returned incomplete.
